Your first steps when the clutch fails

Do not try to force gears or limp onward on the A394. A car that cannot select gears is not safe to drive, and traffic on that road can be fast. Get everybody out of the vehicle to a safe place and then make contact.

Depending on the vehicle, the fault and the place, a clutch repair may be possible where the car has stopped, or it may need the workshop in Hayle. A full replacement needs space and lifting equipment, which a steep lane or a busy holiday park is not always able to offer.
